A pleasant trip in the small cable car brings you up to the picturesque mountain restaurant of Hinterbergen. Enjoy the tasty food whilst marvelling at the spectacular panoramic views from the sun terrace. An ideal starting point for hiking on Mount Rigi.
Hinterbergen is an area above Vitznau, located on the southern flank of Mt. Rigi around 1'000 m.a.s.l. 42 people live and work up here in 6 alpine farms and one restaurant.
The cable car is run by the Hinterbergen Association - a farming cooperative on Hinterbergen.

Timetable
In fine weather the cable car is usually operated by a machinist. The cable runs only on request (no timetable). At other times one can use special chips. These chips can be purchased from the Buholz farm by the valley station as well as the Hinterbergen restaurant.

Adults: single journey CHF 7.00, return CHF 11.00
Children accompanied by their parents are free of charge (except school classes)
