Artillery Fortress Vitznau
Vitznau
The Artillery Fortress was constructed inside the cliffs of the Rigi as part of the Gotthard defence system during the Second World War.
For many years it was a well kept secret and always ready for combat. In 1998 the Artillery Fortress was no longer needed for military purposes. It is now open to the public.
